Playtest is a narrative based game set in a nice forest with a beautiful cabin. Will you sleep? You should sleep. You have to sleep (no seriously you have to).

This is actually my first game jam submission ever. I was originally planning on working with a team until the theme was announced, and I had the idea to mix pixelated and none pixelated objects. I had learned how to do this awhile ago with the tutorial here. My inspiration for a lot of the game was pretty directly inspired by games like The Stanley Parable and Doki Doki Literature Club. The sound and music was also done by me, mostly in Ableton and MaxMSP. I never thought that after a year of game development I'd be able to finish something for a game jam, so thank you so much for anyone who takes the time to play it.

Really cool, reminds me of the stanley parable. At the end it shows me my choices and if followed them and that "I'm just like the others". But to my knowledge, there is no way to not do what you're supposed to do. I was staying inside the cabin while he was screaming to get back to the cabin. Do you even have any other choices than what you're supposed to do? Still, great game.
No there aren't any other choices, that's sort of the point. Video games love to act like you have free will yet there's always a set path. Thanks for playing!
